Champion Beer of Britain 2009

Ruby Mild made by Rudgate Brewery, based in York, was crowned as the Champion Beer of Britain 2009 at the The Great British Beer Festival. "It has a rich, fruity character and and is quite hoppy and bitter for a mild ale"

Oakham Ales' Attila came second, and Dr Hexter's Healer, made by West Berkshire Brewery, came third.
